St Louis Pravda Post Front Page Offerings

Well lets see what the St. Louis Pravda Post has for us today:

Front Page

* Deet and Bug Spray, well important stuff for a picnic but probably better on the Life Styles page I'd say.

* Wentzville GM Plant impact. Deserving of front page, because it is a big story with big impact here. The Post does not do a very good job of explaining that the GM issues are union related and that unreasonable union wages and benefits are bankrupting the company. The Pravda Post did point out the extreme medical benefits that union employees at GM get ( well they did not call them extreme ), but they did point them out. However, the Post being a socialist leaning paper, they would never say anything critical of unions even if we all know and see the union strategy destroying and eating the host companies from the inside out. The Post plays the drum beat while the unions walk their jobs and the company down the plank due to extremely over inflated labor demands.

* Ovary Transplant gives birth, well slightly interesting but maybe in the Health section.

* Drug Cost up 10%, ok I can see that maybe.

Rest of Section A - Not Front Page

* Iraqi Insurgents ready to negotiate (sounds like more of a front page story than all except the GM story)

* Bush staffer altered global warming report ( surprised it was not on the front page )

* Scary picture of crazy Canadian who chopped up his neighbors and border guards in Maine took his hatchet sword, and chain saw but let him leave.

* Military spending hits $1 trillion world wide (ok)

The rest is pretty much not worth mention. Ok so lets take a peak at what stories are missing from the Pravda Post that I say are front page if not then surely section A stories

* Linda Foley President of the Newspaper Guild told an audience here in St. Louis on 5/13 at the Media Reform conference that our military targets journalist. Well lets see, Foley is the President of the Newspaper Guild, she is accusing the military of targeting journalists, she made the statement here in STL, the Pravda Post had a reporter there covering the event, and the Post is a paper right? So I think this is just maybe a front page story. The crazy thing is that the story not only is not on the front page, it is not reported at all, ever. Just like Eason I guess. The MSM liberals do no report wrong doing of their own or apply "watchdog" journalism, especially if the President of your Guild and one of your own.

* Ok if you don't have the stomach for Foley, how about Howard Dean The Scream? He made racist remarks against whites and Christians in SF yesterday. The Chairman of the DNC making racist statement and that's not front page news? No stomach for it huh, does not support your political agenda, I see........

Sounds to me like the Pravda Post needs to send an email out to all their employees tomorrow with a focus on their beloved Post Dispatch Platform:

I know that my retirement will make no difference in its cardinal principles that it will always fight for progress and reform, never tolerate injustice or corruption, always fight demagogues of all parties, never belong to any party ( the Pravda Post is a mouthpiece for the DNC ), always oppose privileged classes and public plunders, never lack sympathy with the poor, always remain devoted to the public welfare, never be satisfied with merely printing news ( mission accomplished you selectively print it only if it promotes your political agenda ), always be drastically independent ( sorry owned by the DNC ), never be afraid to attack wrong ( as long it is not a DNC person or issue ), whether by predatory plutocracy or predatory poverty.

The Post lives very much outside their own platform today as they peddle a bitterly biased and divisive message. Selectively reporting news that only fits ones own agenda makes a paper irrelevant and a tabloid. Perhaps the Post should update their platform to: Liars & The Lies They Tell or Truths They Don't Tell........
