You Can't Support The Troops But Oppose The War

A good article via Real Clear Politics, that addresses the falsehoods of those who claim to support our troops in the military, but not the Iraq war.

Prager

Prager does a good job of pointing out that if you support someone or something, then you have to want them to win. The ultra left who claim to support the troops but think that we are in Iraq for oil and military contract profits, don't support the war and therefore can not support the troops. It's impossible to support one while you don't support the other. The best example of this point used by Prager is this one:

Honest people on the Left need to understand that the two positions are not reconcilable. A German citizen during World War II could not have argued: "The Nazi regime's army is engaged in an evil war of aggression and is slaughtering millions of innocent people, and I therefore completely oppose this war, but I sure do support the Nazi troops."

The anti military left does not like the reality of this but reality is reality.....
